Weekly Checkpoint – On Track

Laying in bed last night and it hit me – never posted for the day. Was just to post a weekly checkpoint and figured I would get to it today. Yes, procrastination! πŸ™‚

Oh well. Even though I was in bed early, wasn’t getting up – too comfortable.

Dennis Bosse - Vision-Board-2017Was just going to post an update – yes, I did update my vision board. Added a few more pics and another note. A lot to look forwards to. All good stuff. Still room to add more – and there are a few on the back burner just need to light the fire!

The workouts / nutrition are going well. (Always room for improvement.) We just need to work for progress not perfection. Will keep working and getting better. Progression will be longer workouts, tougher days, and many more opportunities to learn.

Connecting the dots

Keeping up with all the workout – good. Still not at the point of scheduling them and keeping to the schedule. Luckily I have flexibility enough to get them all in. The one yellow was just a bit shy on swim time, although I spent plenty of time in the water (group class) so I think I made up for it.

Going for the green!Β Weekly update march 6 - 12

In another program this is what is called connecting the dots as each workout is a circle on the calendar / timeline. Either way, the consistency over time is what is key!

Nutrition

Still tracking everything, every day. Will need to progress to planning everything every day – soon.. Β πŸ™‚

Right now we do plan enough ahead that there are plenty of “good” options available. Tammy has been great with buying good stuff and working with me on the gluten-free. There are plenty of options out there to be had. She made orange mango chicken, venison stuffed peppers, spaghetti w/ meat sauce using gluten-free spaghetti. Even she ate it.. Β πŸ™‚

Tonight was a treat as I baked gluten-free brownies. This was using a black bean brownie recipe that Tammy had found. I substituted Splenda for the sugar. Unfortunately I used a pan a bit bigger than called for. I cooked them for less time (still a bit under cooked?) Β and they came out thin. Overall I would double the recipe and use a more natural replacement for the sugar. Otherwise they came out OK and am eating my second one now. πŸ™‚ They only have 60 calories per brownie.

Overall

Hitting all the workouts – great!

Keeping the nutrition numbers in check – great!

Lost a few more pounds and am on track for my goal weight for July. (Will post more on this later as weight is not the REAL goal, just something easy to track.)

Feeling strong, feeling good… Wish you all the same and even more!

Peace and Love,
-Dennis
