Keeping on, keeping on
Another great week. It seems as the days are now flying by… Days are getting longer and we are just waiting for it to start warming up.
Still seems as I am very, very busy and not accomplishing a lot. Will need to work on focus and “getting things done”.
Still working out 4 days a week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. With 3 days of rest. This seems to be a good schedule and allows the extra days to make up if I cannot get to the gym on the specified day.
I started to add high intensity intervals to my cardio to give it a little boost. This is working well and really getting the sweat going!
Weights – I am now recording and tracking what I am doing and also trying to plan ahead a bit more. This way I hope to keep the progress going in the right direction.
Good news – I am the leanest and lightest I have been in over 20 years! I was down to 216 prior to being diagnosed with cancer, and now I am even lighter.
Bad news – it is around this time that I get derailed. I will need to stay diligent – Keeping on, keeping on!
This weeks results:
- Weight loss this week – 1.5 pounds loss
- lost 5.5 pounds fat
- gained 4 pounds lean mass (retained a bit of water)
- Total Loss – 44 pounds
- Weight to goal – 39 pounds (woohoo the first digit changed!)
Taking a cheat day last week and changing up the workouts helped. Will need to keep going and staying the course.
I really appreciate the comments and suggestions along the way. Please don’t hesitate to write something – even if it is just a “Hello there”..
Together, we are Getting There!
Peace,
-Dennis
Dennis,
Hang in there. I have 9 more lbs. to go to lose 40 lbs. and I was walking 5 miles a day while the weather was nice but since it has been so cold I have not been walking and it is taking longer to lose that last 9 lbs. Hang in there and don’t give up. Once I am able to start walking again, it should be a breeze.
Auntie Gail
Way to go Auntie Gail!
Keep up the great work!
Love Ya,

Looking good Dennis… you’re doing great. Glad you found something that is working for you. I know when I am losing weight, seeing that first digit change is always exciting. Not quite as exciting as getting to the single digits of what is remaining but certainly a motivator for sure!
stop eating out!
no
Life goes on.. can still eat sensible..
When we getting together for lunch?

Hi Dennis,
Glad to hear your doing so well. Keep up the good work!!!
It’s all about “change”. Change of habits, change in eating, and muscle confusion. You’ve got this!!! Seriously, download myfitnesspal app if you haven’t already. I’ve lost 7lbs myself in the last month. Make sure you continue to eat (6) times a day. Healthy food. And we all cheat, but when you do, be mindful of how many cookies you can have, then walk away!! LOL (talking from my own experience)
