Security in an insecure world

Lately I have had the ability to attend some security seminars and talks. These discussions have re-sparked an interest in security, especially with regards to mobile security and kids.

Please keep checking in as I will be looking into security items that will benefit many. This will be as simple as looking at a mobile app and can be as explicit as to how better secure your home network. There is no limit to what I may cover.

*** Better yet, sign up for email alerts when I post new articles! ***

The only REAL secure device is one that is turned off. Once you power it up and start connecting to networks, loading apps and sharing information, it becomes a balance of being able to do things and keeping it secure.

The simplest method it to open things up and just let it through. This will allow your apps to run with minimal issues, but opens the door for many problems: malware, spyware, virus and even worst key loggers and bots.

If many of these terms don’t make much sense let me know in the comments and I will help to clarify things as I go along.

If you see something that is helpful, please share with others!

Thanks!

As always, more to come….
